5 Day Classic Safari - Olsero Expedition

Begin the adventure in Arusha then dive into the wilderness of Tarangire National Park for one day of game drive, followed by two days of game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park. Finish this safari with a day of game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, the pride of Tanzania and the world’s largest unbroken caldera in the world.

Day 0: Arrival in Tanzania

Arrival at Kilimanjaro / Arusha Airport

Transfer to Arusha for overnight.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

08:00 – 2 hours drive 
After breakfast, we leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park full day game viewing with picnic lunch.
Tarangire National Park lies between the meadows of Masai Steppe to the south east and the lakes of the
Great Rift Valley to the north and west. Raked as the 6th largest National Park in Tanzania and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers, the park is famous for its high elephant populations, giant baobab trees and the Tarangire river which traverse across the park making it the source of water to the resident animals like zebras, buffalos, gnus and many more. Enjoy your fantastic game drive through the river circuit where leopards, lions, cheetahs, Impala and large troops of baboons can be seen.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

08:00 – 3 hours drive 
After breakfast. departure to Serengeti National Park. On our way we will cross Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, where you canenjoy this magnificent land scape where the maasai are herding cows in a very traditional way, and perhaps stop for an optional visit at the maasai village for a cultural visit. Lunch at the picnic site followed by an afternoon game drive in Serengeti.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park 

Covering over 14,763 km2 ,The name “Serengeti” is an approximation of the word siringet used by the maasai people for the area, which means “endless plains”. Home to one of the world’s greatest concentrations of wildlife and the majority of the Great Wildebeest Migration, Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s flagship conservation area. The park’s astonishing density of wildlife offers a spectacular safari experience no matter what time of the year you visit, and the wide-open plains and mild climate mean that vegetation is never too dense to see animals. Also, Serengeti park is the home to the largest lion population in Africa, but also the place where you can see elephants, buffalos, hundred of thousands wildebeest & zebras, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, hippo pools, gazelles and impalas, waterbucks and many more.

One of the continent’s most celebrated natural wonders and pride of Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken caldera in the world,. It is also known as Africa’s Garden of Eden or the Eighth Wonder of the World.
It’ s one of the most densely populated conservation area in Africa inhabiting almost 25 000 animals and it is the perfect place where you can spot the Big Five during your game drive today.
